You're a Prize!

Say your goodbyes,
To Gasps and sighs.
It's time to know,
Second place has to go,
For you're the First prize!

It is only after #9

It is only after
You've looked long and deep,
Done a full sweep
Of eyes that rarely weep
That you'd know,
There are moments
-moments when I'm submerged within my own self,
Moments when I wouldn't flinch to see you sink,
No tears I'd blink,
But, if you could ignore those flaws,
If you could stick around till the cold thaws,
Baby, I'd drown to keep you afloat.

It is only after #8

It is only after
Things go Downhill
That you truly
Begin the climb Uphill.

It is only after #7

It is only after
You listen
A song
In a language; foreign,
That you learn
To belong
Not just to yourself
But something
Greater still,
The vast Universe
Maybe even, a Multiverse,
One of many,
And transform into-
An uncanny
One of many
States of being
-Not merely existing
But, actually living.

It is only after #6

It is only after
Moving out
That
You find out
You're half you
Without
Mommy-boo...

Musings of An Insomniac

Some days you watch the Sun come up,
Other days, it watches you go down.

It is only after #5

It is only after
You crash and burn
That you learn
Not to settle
Never to settle...
Because settling
Is belittling
Yourself
And all those
Who chose
To believe
In the magic
That is you !
